He was born in 1956, he is a lawyer and politician. He earned his degree at the Faculty of Law of Eötvös Loránd University. He passed his bar examination in 1985. From 1981 to 1993 he was the legal adviser of the Textile Factory of Pápa, the Petőfi Agricultural Cooperative of Kemenesszentpéter and the Elekthermax Corp in Pápa. From 1990 to 1998 he held the office of the deputy mayor of Pápa. Between 1994 and 1998 and 2002 and 2006 he was the member of Municipal Assembly of Veszprém. He was the Political State Secretary at the Ministry of Interior from 1998 and 2002. He has been the Member of Parliament since 2002 and the Parliamentary State Secretary at the Ministry of Interior and Deputy Minister of Interior. He is also the permanent member of the Memorial Committee for 1956.
