Tamás Vargha

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Defence

Politician. He was born in 1959. He earned his degree in English language and literature with secondary school teaching qualification at Eötvös Loránd University in 1987. He taught at Vasvári Pál Grammar School in Székesfehérvár from 1987 to 1993, József Attila Grammar School from 1993 to 1999 and then at Kodolányi János University College from 2004 to 2009. He was one of the founding members of the Hungarian War Grave Preservation Association in 1991 and the Society Fellowship in 1994. The president of the Museum Association of Fejér County in 2010. From 2006 to 2010 he was the representative of the Assembly of Székesfehérvár Municipality and counsellor of cultural, social and international relations. Since 2010 he has been the member of parliament for Fejér county and from 2010 to 2012 the member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the National Assembly, the member of the Committee on Defence of the National Assembly from 2011 to 2012 and State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence since 2012. He is also the permanent member of the Memorial Committee for 1956.
