Minister of Human Capacities

He was born in 1958. He is a Calvinist pastor and a politician. He graduated from the Reformed Theological Academy of Budapest. He was the Calvinist minister of Maglód from 1983-1987. He was the lecturer of the Reformed Theological Academy of Budapest at the Faculty of New Testament, then from 1991 to 1996 a secondary school teacher of religion. He was appointed as advisor to Fidesz in the Hungarian Parliament from 1991-1994. From 1993 to 1996 he was the research fellow of the Ecumenical Institute of Bonn University. The scientific associate of the University of Physical Education of Budapest from 1996 to 1997. He was the appointed Calvinist minister of the German Reformed Church Community from 1996 for ten years. He was the advisor to the Prime Minister of the Hungarian Republic and from 2002 he held the position of the Head of Department at the Department of Social Politics of the Office of the President of Hungary. From 1999 to 2012 he was the member of the Supervisory Committee of the Public Endowment for the Research on Eastern and Central European History and Society. He was also the curator and director of the “Alliance for a Civic Hungary Foundation” from 2003 to 2007. He was the deputy parliamentary front leader of the FIDESZ and from June 1st 2010 the Minister of State for Social Inclusion at the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice. He has taken the office of the Minister of Human Capacities. He is the chairman of the Memorial Year for 1956.
