Exhibition on the 1956 Revolution in Taipei

The 1956 Revolution was commemorated with a four-day exhibition by Hungarian Trade Office in Taipei. The guests in Taiwan were introduced to the events of the 1956 Revolution in a temporary banner exhibition.

The temporary exhibition of the Hungarian Trade Office in Taipei covered the events of the Revolution and Freedom Fight taking place sixty years ago, including the street fights, they young boys and girls knows as the Budapest lads, who took part in the fights, and most importantly the events of 23rd October. The representative of the Hungarian Trade Office in Taipei, János Albert, talked about the significance of 1956 and recalled the courage and desire for freedom of the Hungarians.

The temporary exhibition was open to visitors for four days and was financed by the Memorial Committee for 1956.
